About Us
The club was formed in 2005 as there was no dedicated Women’s/Girls Club in this area.
Through the hard work of a number of dedicated parents, the Club gained permission to
join the Women’s Soccer WA association, playing from Paul Garnett Reserve, the home
ground we know and love. There was a need to create a Club that better catered to the
development of Women and Girls in the sport of Football by providing an encouraging,
nurturing atmosphere where players can grow their skills and knowledge of the game, at
their own pace.
Through the years, we have been through the amalgamation of Women’s Soccer WA with Football West, who are now our governing body. During this time, we have seen a great deal of development of the female football game due to the growing popularity of the sport and the growth in female teams in the Association. In addition, we have grown our membership base to include players from all ages. We work with our younger players to encourage participation in and enjoyment of the sport through fun training sessions and friendly games. This helps the younger children develop their understanding of the game and how to participate in a team environment.
We currently host a number of Junior/Senior teams and strive to support each and every individual to achieve their best. We are a family friendly Club encouraging parents to actively participate in the development of the Club and its events by engaging with other players and their families. It can also be a second family to those players who have partners in the Defence Forces or are FIFO workers, as we provide the opportunity to connect and network with other players/families in the same position.
